Real talk: Finding an ethically made cocktail or semi-formal dress is HARD, all caps.
Earlier this fall, I came up dry when trying to find a new dress to wear to semi-formal weddings. Many ethical fashion brands are on the casual side, and I just didn’t find anything I loved in my size at my favorite consignment stores. It was probably a good thing, because it forced me to re-wear things already in my closet. But if my friends have to see me wear that same navy dress one more time, they may forcefully shove me into a department store dressing room until I come out wearing something different.
Oh, how I wish this stunning, cranberry lace Mikarose dress had been an option for me then! I cannot get over the gorgeous fabric, the pale gold underlay, and the flattering, slimming cut. I paired it with nude pumps and layered strands of off-white and bronze colored pearls for a classic, polished look.
I found this made in the USA dress at The Flourish Market. They donate 5% of the profits from the sale of this dress to Help One Now’s Family Empowerment program in Ethiopia. So, not only was the dress produced ethically, but the profits go to help raise up others. Win-win!
This dress is absolutely perfect for any holiday parties you may still have ahead of you. Local folks can swing by The Flourish Market’s storefront in Raleigh, pick it up, snap off those tags, and be the best looking last-minute dresser at the soiree! The dress would also be very appropriate for a Christmas church service, and I already have it in mind for a wedding I’m attending in February. And, speaking of February, this would also be a great outfit for a fancy Valentine’s Day date!
